Zahra Jaffer

Zahra grew up in Richmond Hill, Ontario and graduated from Western University in 2024 with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During her undergraduate career, she volunteered as a Crisis Counselor with Kids Help Phone, supporting individuals through various mental and emotional stressors. She also worked at SMILE Canada as a Service Navigator, conducting assessment interviews and provided support to racialized families with children with disabilities. To further her knowledge of genetic counselling, she shadowed a genetic counselor, listened to podcasts, and conducted a variety of informational interviews. She enjoys spending free time with family and friends, going for walks, travelling, and doing brush lettering calligraphy.
