Emma Kramer, BS
Emma grew up in Rockford, MI, and graduated from Central Michigan University in December of 2022. She received her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a concentration in cellular and molecular neuroscience. During her undergraduate career, Emma volunteered as a mental health technician at Listening Ear, a local crisis center, to gain advocacy experience. Emma was also an active board member for the student organizations Central Neuroscience Society and Alzheimer's Foundation of America at Central Michigan. Over the summer of 2022, Emma participated in Wayne State's SURP internship, where she conducted retinal research on Drosophila melanogaster under the mentorship of Dr. Tiffany Cook. To learn more about the genetic counseling profession, Emma conducted informational interviews with students and genetic counselors, shadowed professionals, and attended program open houses. In her free time, Emma likes collecting plants, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
