Cell Signaling

Cell signaling pathways are the main regulators of cellular and organismal function and include processes ranging from gene regulation to posttranslational modifications. Cell signaling affects essentially all cellular functions and is dysregulated in a large number of human diseases including cancer, diabetes, and inflammatory diseases. The goal therefore is to understand the molecular changes that drive such diseases, which can have genetic and environmental components.
