  • Bachelor of Science in Forensic Chemistry from Lake Superior State University
  • Currently a first-year student in the MGG MS program

I have had a passion for science since I was very young, and it has flourished throughout my life. After working for several years in undergraduate labs, and post-undergraduate, including the pleasure of currently working with the Pathologists' Assistant program here at Wayne State as their Lab Supervisor, I decided I wanted to further my passions and education. With my background in forensics, I have developed an extreme interest in genetics and the developments it has made in its forensic applications, specifically DNA fingerprinting and genetic genealogy. I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge and skills to hopefully one day contribute to the field of forensics and assisting with applying these DNA typing techniques to cold cases and bringing closure to those affected.
