Molecular Biology and Genetics has always fascinated me. In my undergraduate studies, these subjects sparked my interest in research. After I finished my graduate work, I joined a laboratory working on stem cell research. My work as a research assistant furthered my interest in molecular biology and I knew I had to delve deeper. The research also equipped me to take upon the challenges of a PhD and I decided to join the MGG program at Wayne State University. The faculty of the Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics at WSU have unrivalled expertise in this field, and I am thrilled to be a part of this cutting-edge university. I believe that doctoral studies at WSU would put me in an ideal position to grow as a researcher and would give me the tools necessary to pursue an impactful career.
