Natalie Vriesen

Natalie graduated with an Honours Specialization in Biology with a focus in Genetics and a minor in Medical Science from the University of Western, Ontario. Natalie was an undergraduate research assistant in the Department of Psychology studying Sexual Media and Relationships. She also assisted in a molecular genetics lab where she completed her undergraduate thesis. She gained advocacy experience within her sexual psychology research position as well as a helpline volunteer for ANOVA, an organization dedicated to helping victims of sexual and domestic violence. Natalie had the opportunity to shadow and interview genetic counselors from both Canada and the United States, which solidified her interest in genetic counseling. In her free time Natalie loves musical theatre, drinking red wine, and walking her dog, Stella.
