As an undergraduate, I studied the genetic molecular mechanisms of irritable bowel syndrome along with development of colon cancer. My career goals are to identify molecular mechanisms of diseases and to develop novel treatments. As a future physician in the new age of "big data", I felt like CMMG is the place to be as a graduate student.
