Ted Tabor


Ted graduated from Grand Valley State University is 2019 with a BS in Psychology and minor in Biology. As a student of GVSU’s Frederik Meijer Honors College, Ted served as both an Honors Student Assistant and Honors Resident Assistant. He also served as a volunteer for the Children’s Advocacy Center of Kent County and held leadership positions as a Cook Leadership Academy Fellow and president of GVSU’s Genetic Counseling Organization; a pre-professional student organization. For his Honors Senior Project, Ted compiled information regarding the genetic cause of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), the development of the disease, and the resources available in West Michigan for individuals with DMD. The project culminated in the development of an informational pamphlet which serves as a resource for health professionals, individuals with DMD, and their families. Outside of class, Ted enjoys exercise, travel, attending music shows with friends, and eating sushi.
