2019

Kuntal Sen, MD

Upon completion of the combined pediatrics-medical genetics and genomics residency program, Dr. Sen joined the pediatric neurology fellowship at Children's National in Washington D.C., to reach his goal of becoming a neurogeneticist.  He is an ABMGG board certified clinical geneticist.

2018

Noelle Fabie, MD  

Dr. Fabie joined Children's Minnesota Genetics as a clinical biochemical geneticist, after graduating from our medical biochemical genetics fellowship.  She is an ABMGG board certified medical biochemical geneticist.

Kara Pappas, MD  

After graduating from our medical biochemical genetics fellowship, Dr. Pappas joined Children's Hospital of Michigan's Division of Genetics, Genomics and Metabolic Disorders as a clinical biochemical geneticist.  She is an ABMGG board certified medical biochemical geneticist.

2017

Kara Pappas, MD

Dr. Pappas graduated from our categorical residency program and received an ACMG Foundation Scholarship to continue her training in our medical biochemical genetics fellowship.  She is an ABMGG board certified clinical geneticist.

Noelle Fabie, MD

Dr. Fabie graduated from our combined pediatric-medical genetics residency program and received an ACMG Foundation Scholarship to continue her training in our medical biochemical genetics fellowship.  She s board certified by ABP and ABMGG.

Mili Thakur, MD

Dr. Thakur is the first combined REI-medical genetics graduate in the nation.  She has gone on to practice both disiplines in Grand Rapids, MI.  She is an ABMGG board certified clinical geneticist.

Ahmed I Ahmed, MD

Dr. Ahmed graduated from our MFM-medical genetics residency and took a position at the University of Rochester, NY.  He is an ABMGG board certified clinical geneticist.

Stacie Adams, MD

Dr. Adams graduated from our medical biochemical genetics fellowship program and is working for Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids.  She is an ABMGG board certified clinical geneticist and medical biochemical geneticist.

2016

Jessica Smith, MD

Dr. Smith will begin a maternal fetal medicine fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical Center. She is an ABMGG board certified clinical geneticist

2015

Carolina Beltran, MD

Dr. Beltran completed her medical biochemical genetics fellowship and is currently taking a leave of absence before starting her career as a biochemical geneticist.  She is an ABMGG board certified clinical geneticist and medical biochemical geneticist. 

2014

Alpa Sidhu, MD, PhD

Dr. Sidhu completed her combined pediatric-medical genetics training and is board certified by ABP and ABMGG.  She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Human Development at Michigan State University.

Carolina Beltran, MD

Dr. Beltran completed her categorical medical genetics training and pursued a medical biochemical genetics fellowship at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University.She is board certifed by ABMGG.

2013

Pankaj Prasun, MD

Dr. Prasun finished his combined pediatric/medical genetics training and is board certified by ABMGG and ABP.  He pursued a medical biochemical genetics fellowship at Duke University. He is an Assistant Professor in Genetics and Genomics Sciences at The Mount Sinai Hospital of New York.

Allison Jay, MD

Dr. Jay finished her medical biochemical genetics fellowship and pursued a clinical biochemical genetics laboratory fellowship at Mayo Clinic. She is currently working at the St. John/Providence Health System, Center of Excellence: Cancer Care in Michigan.  She is board certified in both clinical genetics and medical biochemical genetics through ABMGG.

2012

Hong Li, MD, PhD

Dr. Li finished her Combined Pediatric/Medical Genetics training and then completed a medical biochemical genetics fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Boston/Harvard Medical School.  She s board certified by ABP in pediatrics and by ABMGG in both Clinical Genetics and Medical Biochemical Genetics. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Genetics and Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine.

Allison Jay, MD

Dr. Jay completed her categorical medical genetics residency and pursued a medical biochemical genetics fellowship at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University/Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Upon the completion of her fellowship, she began a clinical biochemical genetics laboratory fellowship at Mayo Clinic.  She is an ABMGG board certified clinical geneticist and medical biochemical geneticist.
