I earned my B.S. in Animal Science from Michigan State University. I have always known since I was young that I wanted to help animals in any way I could, and studying biology became a natural path to pursue that passion. My experiences caring for and studying animals during this time have strengthened my dedication to their health and welfare, which has inspired me to explore how science can make a meaningful difference in their lives.
As I progressed through my undergraduate studies, I became particularly fascinated by evolutionary genetics and its role in shaping animal health.
Looking ahead, I hope to integrate genetics with my aspiration to advance animal health through veterinary medicine. My goal is to work at the intersection of animal health and genetic research, applying genetic insights to improve disease resistance and address inherited conditions in animals. I am excited to be part of a future where discoveries in genetics improve animal health and deepen our understanding of life across species.
