Alexis Gallant


Alexis graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Honours Biology with minors in Sociology and Psychology from McMaster University, Ontario. After graduating Alexis volunteered for a variety of advocacy organizations including SHORE Centre, Waterloo Region’s Sexual Assault Support Centre (Support Line and Court Support), and Telecare Cambridge Distress Centre. Additionally, she enjoyed volunteering for two years in the 3F Hematology/Oncology Outpatient Clinic at McMaster Children’s Hospital where she got to spend time with pediatric patients and their families. To gain genetic counselling exposure, Alexis was fortunate to be able to volunteer with genetic counsellors at Grand River Regional Cancer Centre and McMaster University Medical Centre Prenatal Diagnosis Clinic. Alexis enjoys playing volleyball, taking scenic walks, eating pasta, and hanging out with friends and family.
