Maggie Bowler

Maggie graduated from Michigan State University in December of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Genomics and Molecular Genetics. Maggie worked as a Therapy Technician at a Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy Rehabilitation Center where she assisted people with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, neurological disorders, and other conditions that impair mobility. During her time as an undergraduate, Maggie volunteered as a Crisis Counselor with Crisis Text Line and was an intern as a Genetic Counseling Assistant at Sparrow Hospital’s Herbert Herman Cancer Center. Furthermore, Maggie was a member of the Microbiology and Molecular Genetics Club, and had the opportunity to present her Genomics and Molecular Genetics Capstone Presentation on “The Ethics of Genetic Engineering”.  Following graduation, Maggie worked as a Customer Service Representative at GeneDx where she furthered her knowledge of genetic counseling and genetic testing. In her free time, Maggie enjoys being outdoors, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
