Quick Look
• Graduated from Soochow University in China
• Currently a sixth-year in the PhD Program
The strength of the Molecular Biology and Genetics Program in the Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics stems from its top-notch faculty and wide range of research pursuits from cancer biology to developmental neuroscience. In order to best equip students to choose their specific areas of interest, the program allows them to complete three or four lab rotations before starting their thesis project. This allows students to sample the different disciplines available before pursuing expertise in a specific field. My own areas of interests are neuroscience and developmental biology. As for my future plans…they’ll just have to stay my secret for now.
Research Interests
Advisor: Dr. Jeffrey A. Loeb
My current project is to identify the potential role that the reciprocal signaling between Ig-form Neuregulins and Neurotrophic factors may play in regulating Schwann cell development at axon-glial interface during chick and mouse embryonic development.
